The former male model who discovered Stephen Gately’s dead body has claimed police never investigated the star’s sex and drug taking.
Georgi Dochev, 30, claims Spanish police brushed over any embarrassing moments of his night with the Boyzone star and husband Andrew Cowles before he died.
And the waiter, who met the pair just hours before the tragedy in 2009, told how they headed out in Majorca after meeting at a gay bar at 1am.

He said: “There are things that have never been made public about the night Stephen died like the fact I saw him going into a toilet cubicle at the Black Cat with three drug dealers.
“I also saw him go into a room we called the ‘dark room’ where you could get up to anything you wanted.”
And Georgi told the Sun that he was the person who initially discovered Stephen the next day.

He said: “I went to take his pulse and couldn’t find one. I knew he was dead.”
He then told Andrew something was wrong, adding: “He began slapping him round the face when he didn’t respond. When he realised he was dead, he broke down in tears.”

Georgi added that Spanish police used him to translate Andrew’s statement, adding: “The investigation was amateurish. They used me as a makeshift interpreter for Andy’s statement.
“They didn’t bother sending an official one. I can get by in English but it’s my third language and by no means perfect.”
