The Coronas Danny O’Reilly has spoken out about being starstruck after meeting U2’s Bono.
The Dublin lads visited the legendary rock-band while they were preforming in the UK and even got a sneaky meet and greet back stage.
“We found out that U2 were playing in Glasgow that night… next thing we were backstage meeting Bono and the lads before the gig,” he said.

“Yeah well it’s funny, I didn’t know how to do address them or to bow or what to do,” he told Eoghan McDermott on 2fm.
Danny admitted that the U2 frontman owned the room “and was so in Bono mode” when meeting the Dublin lads.
The U2 star light-heartily joked about what Danny and co were wearing at the time.
“He told this amazing story about the first time they ever met Frank Sinatra in America and that Frank was slagging them over their clothes that they were wearing, I’m pretty sure he was slagging our clothes,” he laughed.
