Sinead O’Connor is set to join ranks with actor Stephen Rea to create an alternative Easter Rising centenary next year.
The outspoken singer will perform with fellow Irish artist Frances Black as part of the celebrations.
Plans are currently being finalised by Reclaim The Vision Of 1916, an initiative supported by the relatives of the Rebellion leaders.

The Government is planning its main event a month earlier, on March 27 which is Easter Sunday next year.
As part of the alternative celebrations, Stephen, who played Ned Broy in the film Michael Collins – will read the 1916 proclamation outside the GPO.
