Simon Cowell has made a dig at Niall Horan.
The former One Direction star was signed to the music manager’s label Syco before going solo with rival Universal music.
The Mullingar man dropped his new single last week – but  only reached number nine in the UK charts.
“He probably would have had a number one single if he’d stayed with me,” Simon said.

The Londoner couldn’t help but promote an X Factor star who did stay with him – James Arthur.
“But you know who does have a Number One this week? James Arthur,” he told the Sunday Mirror.
“Very pleased he’s back with us with a fantastic record. Hashtag loyalty.”
