Samantha Mumba has defended herself after RTE star Jennifer Maguire criticised her for taking a selfie after being in a serious car accident.
The Republic of Telly star called it “the most inappropriate selfie ever”, after the pregnant singer shared a photo on Instagram of herself lying in a stretcher.
“I took a lot of photos at the accident site for insurance purposes and this was a photo I decided to share a day,” Samantha said.

“I would have presumed that anyone with half a brain, never mind another pregnant woman, would have already known my ONLY concern at the actual time was my baby.”
The singer and actress is expecting to give birth in the next few weeks, and said Jennifer should really be focusing on her own pregnancy.
“I don’t even know who the girl (Jennifer) is . . . but living away from home. I don’t know who anyone is,” she told The Sun.

“Perhaps Jennifer should focus her dazzling journalism skills on writing about her own pregnancy experience rather than bashing someone else’s incorrectly.
“I do expect if she’s going to write something in that tone she would at least be accurate with the details though.
“I cannot fathom why anyone thinks that was something I was ‘live tweeting’ from the accident site.”
