Ryan Tubridy returns to his radio show after taking a break

Ryan Tubridy has returned to his radio show after taking a break.

The popular presenter was replaced by Oliver Callan on his RTÉ Radio 1 show this past week, as he enjoyed some time off.

Ryan returned to the show on Monday morning, and told listeners about his Halloween – which he spent with his eldest daughter Ella.

He said: “I noticed a distant lack of callers. I was quite excited…I was very organised with my little bags and sweets in each bag so no fingers had to go into the bowl. So I was quite prepared, I was almost standing by the door going ‘I’m here lads’.”

“Nothing, nothing. I said ‘Gosh, I’m not that bad, am I? Is it the sweets? Is it what I gave away last year?’ I’m not sure.”

“One family, they came with their little lad who was the Hulk, the other fella was some dead something and the Dad stood by patiently and I handed them their little bag each. Felt a bit miserable.”

“The mother was a witch, dressed up as one I should quickly qualify, and she was standing not too far away. I went out and said ‘Can I give you a bag as well?’ The teenager didn’t want to get involved at all but was dragged out to stand there. God, help him. That was it, they came, they went. It was a flash.”
