Roz Purcell on the pressures of modelling: 'My diet was just vegetables and coffee'

Roz Purcell has revealed how intense her model diet used to be.

The former Miss Universe Ireland won a contract with Donal Trump’s modelling agency in 2010, and has admitted she only ate vegetables to stay slim.

“Five days a week I would just eat veg and at the weekends we would splurge on cupcakes,” she revealed.

“I would run and run and run maybe 14 kilometers every day and downing coffee. I can never drink Starbucks again because I was using it to suppress my appetite,”  Irish Daily Mail’s TV Week Magazine.

“It reminds me of being really hungry. I came back and realised I would never go through that again,” she insisted.

Speaking about the pressures of modelling now, the Tipperary beauty admitted girls are training just hard as sports stars now.

“Models train like athletes now, that’s just the way it’s gone,” she explained.
