Rosanna Davison reveals husband Wes Quirke ‘bottled up’ his grief after miscarriage heartaches

Rosanna Davison has revealed that her husband Wes Quirke “bottled up” his grief, after the couple suffered 14 miscarriages.

The former Miss World has been praised for openly speaking about her fertility issues, after she welcomed her daughter via surrogate this year.

Speaking to Sile Seoige on her Ready To Be Real podcast, Rosanna admitted her husband didn’t have much support.

“These were Wes’ babies as well we were losing. He was very strong and supportive throughout, I couldn’t have gotten through it without him, he was brilliant,” she admitted.

“But the focus was very much on how was I feeling, how was I doing but people didn’t ask him enough about how he was doing.

“I think unfortunately he probably did bottle it up a little bit too much and I knew how desperate he was to have a baby and he was watching his friends have babies as well all around him.

“It’s just as tough for the partner having to go through that and to be the one to support somebody going through miscarriages,” she added.

Opening up about dealing with the losses, Rosanna said fertility struggles can be very traumatic.

“It’s an incredibly lonely, traumatic, challenging time to go through a fertility struggle.

“I would always appeal to people to not just as a couple keep it to yourselves if you feel you need to reach out,” she added.
