Actor Rob Sheehan has admitted he got very emotional after taking magic mushrooms with his girlfriend.
The Love/Hate star brought his actress girlfriend Sofia Boutella to the Californian Mojave desert for Valentine’s Day, and the pair took mushrooms together.
“We went camping to Joshua Tree for Valentine’s weekend,” he explained.
“I kept the whole thing a surprise and we went and set up our tent and it was incredibly beautiful.”

“Then I said ‘Alright baby phase two of the surprise’ and took out a handful of magic mushrooms.
“We just wandered out into the wilderness on magic mushrooms. It was a f***ing profound experience.
“It was glorious. Truly fantastic,” he told Hot Press magazine.
But Rob warned that people should only take magic mushrooms around their friends, as there are strong side affects.
“Do not take mushrooms in an urban environment, or with anybody you don’t know or with people who aren’t on mushrooms.”

“You have to be with people you know who are on mushrooms in the desert. I was on my knees crying for an hour and a half.
“It just completely distorts your perception of reality and how you see the world.
Meanwhile Rob opened up about his girlfriend Sofia, admitting things were tough at the beginning.
“Falling for her was like a rugby tackle. There was very little choice in the whole thing,” he said.

“For the first eight months we were doing the whole long-distance thing. Now we’re both in LA.
“It was really tough going from pen pals to living with each other. It’s intense and makes very little practical sense — you’re doing it because you have this mad knot of love in your chest.
“We drove each other a bit mad at the start of the relationship. We were starving for that commitment and now we’re finding it.”
