Actor Pierce Brosnan has spoken out about losing his former wife Cassandra and daughter Charlotte to cancer.
The James Bond star lost both loved ones to ovarian cancer, with Charlotte only passing away a year ago.
Pierce, 61, attended the Stand Up To Cancer telecast and revealed his pain at losing his family.
“To watch someone you love have his or her life eaten away bit by bit by this insidious disease, that part of your sorrow becomes an indelible part of your psyche,” he said.

“I held the generous, strong, beautiful hand of my first wife Cassie as ovarian cancer took her life much too soon.”
Cassandra died in 1999 aged 43, and Charlotte died last year aged 41.
“I held the hand of my funny, wonderful daughter Charlotte before she, too, died from this wretched inherited disease,” Pierce told the audience.
Pierce also announced a collaboration with Stand Up To Cancer.
