PICS: Stars attend opening of prestigious Dublin acting school Bow Street

The biggest names from the Irish acting scene were out in force to help celebrate the opening of acting school Bow Street.

Straight from filming his new film The Secret Scripture, legendary film director Jim Sheridan opened the new creative acting hub with a host of famous names.

World renowned casting director Maureen Hughes along with filmmaker Shimmy Marcus and manager Paul O’Connor have set up the new acting academy in the historic Bar Council of Ireland’s former courthouse on Bow Street.

The event saw the best of Irish talent with Love/Hate’s Peter Coonan, Hollywood star Jack Reynor and film icon Vanessa Redgrave.

Appearing in the critically acclaimed film Patrick’s Day, up-and-coming actor Moe Dunford made sure to attend the opening whilst wrapped up in a grey duffle coat.

2015 is set to be a big year for the Vikings actor as he has already been honoured for his performance in the Irish film at the Berlin International Film Festival winning the Shooting Star award.

Love/Hate actor Barry Keoghan was also there to support the new academy with Gabby Murphy.

The young actor made a splash during his time on the show in series 3 and looked keen to show his support for Love/Hate casting director Maureen Hughes last night.

RTE star Jennifer Maguire also attended last night’s event dressed in a chic camel trench, white buttoned up shirt and black skinny jeans.

The Republic of Telly presenter is expecting her first child in the coming weeks with her actor husband Lau.

The radio host has been candid recently admitting she will only take 10 weeks of maternity leave because she’s self employed.
