Nile Rodgers and Chic members Folami Thompson & Kimberly Davis cut the red ribbon on Irish fashion designer Claire Garvey’s Cows Lane studio in Temple Bar earlier this week.

Ahead of Chic’s Dublin gig on October 25, they turned up for the relaunch of Claire Garvey’s shop.

The Irish designer started making clothes for Nile Rodgers back in 2013 when he appeared on The X Factor, and they’ve kept in touch ever since.

On the night, Nile also took the time to model the custom made pieces Claire created for Chic.

Claire’s shop is on Cow’s Lane in Temple Bar, and she’s been working there since 2000.

However, she recently purchased the shop, and relaunched it with her latest menswear collection.

According to the DailyEdge.ie, Claire’s first major work in menswear was for Nile’s appearance on The X Factor back in 2013, and speaking at the relaunch she said, “I’m delighted Nile made the time in his busy schedule to celebrate with me.”

“It means a lot to have him here for the launch of my latest men’s collection as he was the inspiration for me venturing into menswear.”

After the event, Nile took to Twitter and wrote, “I love all our clothing from you Claire. You’re an amazing artist. Good luck with the new shop.”
