With the long-weekend in full swing, a host of our favourite Irish stars took to their social media to celebrate our annual national holiday.

Check out how some of your favourite Irish celebs are celebrating Lá Fhéile Pádraig this Sunday:

Dáithí Ó Sé

Dáithí Ó Sé is currently hosting the live coverage from the highly-anticipated Patrick’s Day parade that is currently underway through Dublin City.

The theme of this year’s Festival and Parade is Spréach, the Irish word for Spark, which represents the unique essence of Ireland and of Irish people.

Starting on Parnell Square North before moving down O’Connell Street and crossing the River Liffey, the parade will continue through Dame Street, Lord Edward Street, Nicholas Street, Patrick’s Street and will end on Kevin Street.

Laura Whitmore, Clodagh McKenna and Imelda May

Laura Whitmore, Clodagh McKenna and Imelda May celebrated St Patrick’s Weekend in style on Saturday night.

The celebrations were held by Clodagh at her farm, Broadspear which she shares with her husband.

Actor Richard E. Grant was also seen in attendance, posting a video of Imelda kicking off the celebrations by singing a rendition of Alive-O.

Patrick Kielty

Late Late Show host Patrick is this year’s Grand Marshall at the St. Patrick’s Day parade.

Speaking ahead of the parade he said: “I couldn’t be more excited to be this year’s Grand Marshal and can’t thank the Festival enough for asking me to be part of our biggest day.”

“It’s such a honour to be asked and I was genuinely gobsmacked when the call came in.”

“When you’re lucky enough to be called Patrick, St Patrick’s Day always feels like an extra birthday and I can’t wait to get the world’s biggest party started on March 17.”

Greg O’Shea

Former host of The Six O’Clock Show, Greg O’Shea and his girlfriend Jeanni are taking on the NYC half-marathon this St Patrick’s Day.

The couple are in New York City with Georgie Crawford’s brand The Good Glow.
