Nathan Carter: “I’m living the dream”

Nathan Carter has been living the dream lately, with a new TV show, along with his usual writing and performing.

The country singer was recently in Nashville recording a documentary about the iconic city.

“I’ve been off gigging for about a month, it’s the longest I’ve ever been off singing. I was out in Nashville doing a documentary about Nashville.

“About the place itself and the people and the songwriters and the singers – even meeting barmaids that are expecting to be the next big thing. We interviewed some great people, great country stars. It’s pretty interesting now, it’s a different side of Nashville than we’ve seen before.”

Speaking on Breakfast Republic on 2fm, Nathan spoke about his TV show experience.

“Last year was fun. I did a pilot TV show last Christmas, not the last one the one before that, and lots of people tuned in. RTE were very happy, so they gave me a series. We had a load of different guests from all different genres, people like Billy Ocean came in and sang.

He then talked about how he has an album coming up very soon, and how his friends are jealous of his career.

“I’m living the dream. Writing songs, performing, TV show, everything’s going good so far. I’m hoping to get a new album out around May time, been writing the last few months with a guy called Don Mescal.

“He’s written a lot of great stuff. I’m always told by my friends every time I see them, “Jeez man you’re living the dream. I wish we could do what you do’.”
