Natalie Dormer has split from her Irish fiancé Anthony Byrne, after 11 years together.
The Game Of Thrones actress and the Dublin-born director split during the summer, and Natalie confirmed the news during an interview with New Statesman.
The publication wrote, “The two met on the set of The Tudors; they’ve parted ways since promoting the film this summer. Dormer only has positive things to say about Byrne.”
The news comes after Natalie admitted that working with Anthony on psychological thriller In Darkness, which they co-wrote, put a strain on their relationship.
The star told You magazine: “Couples say terrible things to each other that you would never say to your best friend. We learned very quickly that we couldn’t write in the same room.”
“Doors got slammed at various points and I wouldn’t necessarily rush into writing with Anthony again.”
Natalie and Anthony first met on the set of The Tudors in 2007, and later got engaged in 2011 – when Anthony proposed to her on a boat in India.
