Michael Flatley has revealed the sad news that his father has passed away.
In a moving tribute the dancer shared this touching picture collage of his dad, writing:
“My dear father Michael James Flatley passed away yesterday on the opening night of my show.
Heart broken: Michael’s new show had opened last night | BRIAN DOHERTY
“He was my hero, my heart is broken. Please keep him in your prayers. I love you dad, your son Michael.”
Michael has been touring with his latest show Lord of The Dance: Dangerous Games.
Star of the show Nadine Coyle revealed tonight’s show will be in memory of Michael’s dad.

“Tonight’s show is dedicated to Michaels father Michael James Flatley who sadly passed yesterday,” she wrote on Twitter.
“In loving memory,” she added.
