Louis Walsh has slammed Rita Ora, and admitted that himself and Sharon Osbourne didn’t want her.
The 63-year-old is returning to the popular talent show after taking a step back from the show last year – and now he’s badmouthing the 2015 panel, which included Rita, Cheryl and Nick Grimshaw.
“Sharon and I are old, but that means we’re far more experienced, unlike the young whippersnappers on last year’s panel who didn’t know a thing about talent.
“Sharon and I pushed for Nicole, we didn’t want Rita Ora. It turned into a fashion show. The panel didn’t have the right credentials. They were lightweight,” he told Best magazine.

The news comes after X Factor boss Simon Cowell admitted that taking Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw on last year was “tough”, compared to the positive reaction to this year’s panel, which includes Louis, Sharon Osbourne, Nicole Scherzinger and Simon.
“When we announced the new line-up, it was 95% positive. No one was saying it was a mistake and that was what we were getting last year.
“I mean the minute we announced it, it was like f**k, this doesn’t feel great, let’s see how it goes. But it was tough,” he told the Daily Mirror.
