Michael Neeson has admitted his father Liam didn’t want him to become an actor.
The fashion designer revealed that his movie star dad didn’t want him to get into showbiz – however his late mum Natasha Richardson was always supportive.
“Dad was like ‘please become a carpenter or something, on my Mum’s side I was encouraged to do what ever I wanted. I’ve done a couple of Drama courses,” he said.

Although Michael is focusing on his designing career, he hasn’t ruled out acting for good.
“My inner actor is in there somewhere, its lingering in the shadows,” he told the Evening Standard.
The handsome 19-year-old also opened up about how U2’s Bono comforted him following the sudden death of his mother in a skiing accident in 2009.

“Yeah I lost my Mum at your age too, Dad was really touched,” he said.
“Bono wasn’t saying it as in, look at what I became.”
