Lesley Roy breaks her silence after missing out on a spot in the Eurovision final

Lesley Roy has broken her silence after missing out on a spot in the Eurovision final.

The singer represented Ireland in Tuesday night’s semi final, performing ‘Maps’ in front of an audience of 3,500 people at Rotterdam’s Ahoy Arena in the Netherlands.

The Dublin native went up against 16 other countries, but only ten of them made it through to Saturday’s grand finale – Norway, Israel, Russia, Azerbaijan, Malta, Lithuania, Cyprus, Sweden, Belgium and Ukraine.

Taking to Instagram after the show, Lesley wrote: “I gave it my all for Ireland for the last 18+ months! I am so grateful for such an amazing team and creative staging.”

“This Eurovision experience has been so memorable during such a historic time for everyone across the globe. Thank you @rteone, @michaelkealy1, everyone on my team, my friends, my family, my wife and the Irish cousins. 🇮🇪🙏🏼💚”

Former Saturdays star Una Healy, who sparked hope she’ll represent Ireland in the song contest next year, commented on the post: “You were amazing 💚”

Social media star James Patrice commented: “Legend 🔥🔥🔥”.
