Jamie Dornan’s wife has NEVER seen Fifty Shades: ‘She wouldn’t put herself through that’

Jamie Dornan has revealed that his wife has NEVER seen Fifty Shades of Grey, as “she wouldn’t put herself through that”.

The Irish actor, who stars as Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades franchise, admitted that his wife, Amelia Warner, has never seen the first film – and she won’t be seeing Fifty Shades Darker either.

Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show, which will air this Saturday, Jamie said, “My wife is one of the most brilliant human beings in the world.”

“She hasn’t watched it. Why would she watch it? She wouldn’t put herself through that.”

The 34-year-old is no stranger to stripping off for the camera whilst filming Fifty Shades, which is based on erotic novels penned by E.L. James – and Jamie has admitted that he doesn’t “really care” about getting his kit off.

“I haven’t seen it so I don’t know. I don’t know where the cameras were, I don’t bother myself with that, I just get on with it. At times you are [fully naked].

“I don’t really care about that sort of stuff. I’m not nudist beach guy, but I don’t really mind,” he said.

The actor also opened up about his role in BBC drama The Fall, which is about to air it’s third and final season – and Jamie told how he never originally auditioned for the role of serial killer Paul Spector.

Luck: Jamie never auditioned for the role of serial killer Paul Spector | BBC

“I auditioned for Olsen, who dies in the second episode of the first series. I auditioned for the good guy, for the police officer.

“Usually it happens the other way around, you go in for one of the jazzier parts in the production, and you think it goes relatively well, and they say, ‘They loved you but they’re going to bring you back in [to read the part] for the postman’.”

“We’re billing this as the final series, but there may be a world where it comes back in some incarnation with whoever else at a certain time, but for now this is it, which is very sad.”

The Jonathan Ross Show is on Saturday at 10.20pm on ITV.
