Jamie Dornan reveals: 'The Fall creator didn't think I could play a serial killer after having a baby'

Hollywood actor Jamie Dornan has revealed that the creator of his show The Fall thought he wouldn’t be able to play a serial killer after having his first baby.

Allan Cubitt, writer of the BBC show, was quick to congratulate the star but admitted he was apprehensive of him becoming a father.

“In the first series, I wasn’t a father yet but then we started the second series and I was; your eternally changed by having a baby,” Jamie said.

“Actually Allan our creator, when I said we were pregnant and we’re having a baby and stuff, obviously he was delighted but he was also worried it would soften me.

“He was like, especially we had a little girl…I think he was worried I couldn’t, your literally changed totally emotionally and even physically even as the guy after you have a baby.

“So I don’t think he thought I would be able to carry the same menace and stuff, I’d be too soft after having a kid but I was like ‘no I’m fine, I got this’,” the Irish hunk told the LA Times.

Before adding that he doesn’t want to think of his daughter in a situation of his character’s victim’s.

“Don’t even make me think of that, it’s terrible, I know,” he squirmed.

Revealing the hardest scenes to film for season two were, the scenes that included his character, Paul Spector’s kids.

“Anything to do with the kids after becoming a father is tough,” he admitted.
