Jennifer Maguire may be living a glamorous life as a TV presenter and radio DJ but the Republic Of Telly star wasn’t always so lucky.
The RTE star revealed her less than stellar job of scrubbing toilets in a New York City bar when she was trying to make it big.
The mum-of-one headed to the Big Apple after school and found herself cleaning up puke after drunken patrons.
“I worked as a chambermaid scrubbing toilets, that was my worst job – but now I make a great bed,” she said.

“I waitressed on the graveyard shift late at night, so I had all the louts coming in when the pubs cleared out.”
“They would be getting sick on the floor, smacking your a*se or just being really inappropriate.”
However, little did Jennifer know that one man she served in the bar would end up being her future TV co-worker.
Fellow Republic Of Telly star Bernard O’Shea lived in the same area of New York while Jennifer was waiting tables.

The pair didn’t realise they had probably run into each other until they met again years later.
“I probably served him thinking he was just some ‘mullah’ because it was mostly Irish customers,” she said.
“It’s funny that we were in the same place at the same time and we never knew.”
Following her chambermaid stint, the TV babe founded her own sales company in the UK following her appearance on The Apprentice.

After working so many tough jobs, Jennifer admitted her current gig as a 2Fm DJ is considerably easier.
“I’m very fortunate in my job now. I’ve worked a lot harder in other jobs, especially when I was running a business,” she told The Herald.
“Now for the first time in my life it’s a little easier,” she said.
