Irish singer RuthAnne Cunningham has topped the charts, after playing a special part in Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury’s engagement.
The couple, who met on Love Island in 2019, got engaged in Ibiza on Sunday evening – just six months after they welcomed their daughter Bambi.
As Tommy got down on one knee, Grammy-nominated artist RuthAnne sang her hit song ‘The Vow’ for them live.
Since then, ‘The Vow’ has shot to the top of the Irish charts on iTunes, and is currently sitting at number 2 in the UK charts.
While the song was originally released five years ago, it’s now seen a huge surge in popularity.
‘The Vow’ has always had a special place in Molly and Tommy’s hearts, as it was played during the finale of their journey on Love Island back in 2019.
In a post shared on Instagram this week, RuthAnne revealed Tommy flew her out to Ibiza to sing for them during his proposal.
Sharing a sweet snap with the newly-engaged couple, the songstress wrote: “A pinch me moment!”
“Congratulations @tommyfury @mollymae on your engagement & I can’t believe I got to be there to sing your song #thevow live for this most amazing proposal (good planning Tommy).
“Molly had no idea and I know how much this song means to them & wow the most stunning location I have ever sang it in. And for the most beautiful couple. I sang my heart out just for you today.
“So amazing to finally meet you in person and sing this song for you. This is why I write music and wow what a moment.”
Molly-Mae and Tommy announced their engagement by sharing a black-and-white video of the moment Tommy proposed on Sunday.
Molly-Mae, who looked stunning in a white jumpsuit, broke down in tears when she saw her beau standing by a cliff, surrounded by white flowers and holding their daughter.
The boxer then handed Bambi to Molly-Mae, got down on one knee and asked Molly-Mae to marry him.
The engagement video has almost 40 million views on Instagram, with over 3.3 million likes.
