While 2015 may have been the year of constant splits in Hollywood, it was the year of love among Irish celebs.

Although A-listers like Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner parted ways, and Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rosdale split, Ireland’s celeb couples are stronger than ever.

From new hookups, to new babies and everything in between, we couldn’t get enough of the love this year.

 

1. Holly Carpenter and Danny O’Reilly

One of the newest couples on our list, The Coronas frontman and the former Miss Ireland have only been dating for a few months, but things are already heating up.

Although they’re taking things slow at the moment, the pair are said to be completely smitten with each other.

Holly even took a trip to Dubai recently to cheer on her beau on tour.

2. Ronan and Storm Keating

If any couple proves that true love exists – it’s these two.

Ronan and Storm are probably the most loved-up Irish couple, since making their romance public in 2012.

The couple got hitched this year in Scotland and even had Ed Sheeran sing on the big day.

They’ve been enjoying the perks of wedded bliss ever since (just check their social media accounts for proof).

3. Rory McIlroy and Erica Stoll

Couple of the moment right now, the Co. Down golfer has been dating the PGA employee for over a year but the pair have kept a pretty low profile.

Rory recently shared a snap of the Eiffel tower on their romantic trip to Paris and then it emerged the pair are now engaged.

With a whopper ring finally on display we’re excited for the big wedding.

 

4. Jenny Greene and Kelly Keogh

As one of Ireland’s favourite radio stars, Jenny has managed to keep her relationship with girlfriend Kelly pretty quiet.

However, the 2fm DJ revealed earlier this year that the pair have got engaged after she popped the question.

The couple are getting hitched next year with a wedding in Portugal planned – we hope her co-host Nicky Byrne sings at the wedding!

5. Nadia Forde and Dominic Day

One Irish star that found love this year was model-turned-singer Nadia Forde.

After competing in I’m A Celeb, the Dubliner has been dating Bath rugby player Dominic Day.

The couple even did a cheesy spread for OK! Magazine where she revealed that she’s the happiest she’s ever been.

6. Laura Whitmore and Rory Williams

Laura has only recently gone public with her new rocker beau Rory, and it seems the pair can’t get enough of each other.

While Laura was hosting ITV2’s I’m A Celeb spin-off show in the Australian jungle, the presenter showed on her Instagram that Rory had come out to visit her Down Under.

While their romance appears to be quite new, things are seriously hotting up for the couple and the presenter looks happier than ever.

7. Lisa Cannon and Richard Keatley

Lisa and her Welsh rugby player beau Richard tied the knot back in September in a lavish ceremony in Florence, which was followed by the most luxurious honeymoon imaginable (well jel).

The couple released a cinematic-style video of their full wedding experience and it proved that they are certainly one of the most loved-up couples around.

The pair are hoping to start thinking about kids late next year, so the only way is up for this gorgeous couple.

8. Georgia and Joe Penna

Another couple that got hitched this year is Georgia and Joe Penna.

The pair said “I do” in an intimate ceremony in Portofino, Italy and Georgia described the special day as a “fairytale” and a “dream come true”.

The couple made sure to share lots of snaps from their exotic honeymoon, and now they’ve just welcomed twin boys.

It’s a really exciting time for these two, and we can’t wait to see Georgia as a mother.

9. Alan Hughes and Karl Broderick

It has been quite the year for this long-term couple, especially due to the marriage referendum and it officially being legal for same-sex couples to marry in Ireland.

Despite throwing a fairytale themed civil ceremony four years ago, Alan officially proposed to his partner Karl live on Ireland AM in November so that they can officially be legally married.

We love these two together and we’re so happy that they can finally be legally married, we wonder what the bash will be like?!

 

10. Steve Garrigan and Diana Bunici

These two are just the epitome of #CoupleGoals as they are just so sweet together.

The Kodaline star and the RTÉ presenter recently went on holiday to Lapland together and the Instagrams are just too much to handle.

The pair are both clearly smitten with Diana describing Steve as “incredible” previously to Goss.ie, and they both seem to hang around with the coolest people as they recently hung out with Matt Damon.

Can we hear wedding bells?!

11. Conor McGregor and Dee Devlin

While The Notorious Conor McGregor may be great at smack talk, he only shows nothing but love to his beloved girlfriend Dee.

The couple both show each other tremendous support, with Dee sharing a heartwarming message following Conor’s win against Chad Mendes and Conor constantly wanting to spoil her.

We reckon this pair will be together for the long run, and hopefully they will both be celebrating victory this weekend after Conor’s highly anticipated fight against José Aldo in Las Vegas.

12. Robbie and Claudine Keane

After having already taken over Ireland, Robbie and wife Claudine are definitely the new Posh and Becks of Hollywood.

The couple moved over to the city of Angels and have been mixing and mingling with the A-listers ever since.

The pair also welcomed a new addition to the family this year when Claudine gave birth to their second son, Hudson.

13. Nicola Hughes and Alex Mytton

Definitely our ultimate reality TV couple, Goss.ie were the first to exclusively reveal these two were dating – and they’re till going strong.

Nicola has been popping up on episodes of Made in Chelsea ever since she started dating Alex and has even made pals with Alex’s ex Binky.

Not to mention she shared this nearly naked snap of the English hunk earlier this year which sent social media into a meltdown.

14. Jodi Albert and Kian Egan

2015 has been a great year for this celeb couple, from a new baby to a new boutique, Jodi and Kian are unstoppable.

In this year alone, the couple welcomed baby Zeke in May, and then Jodi went on to make her Xposé presenting debut – and successfully landed the most ratings out of all the guest hosts. 

Jodi also opened her very own boutique and Kian has showed his devoted support the whole way through.

We LOVE these two!

15. Eoghan McDermott and Jo Archbold

Eoghan and Jo have been dating for over a year now, and they are still more loved up than ever.

The couple recently jetted off the New York City for a romantic getaway and shared some VERY lovey-dovey snaps on Instagram.

We would love to see these two together for the long-haul, and we reckon they do too!

16. Roz Purcell and Bressie

It’s definitely true love for Roz and Bressie.

The Tipperary model and The Voice of Ireland have been dating for what seems like a lifetime.

Their careers have also been on the up this year as they both entered the publishing business.

Bressie’s debut book Me and My Mate Jeffrey was an instant best-seller and Roz recently revealed the front cover to her upcoming cook book.

 

17. Rosanna Davison and Wes Quirke

Last but certainly not least, we have to give a shout out to Rosanna and Wes aka Wesanna.

The pair really settled into married life in 2015, and Wes was the perfect husband to Rosanna and supported her as she wrote her debut book Eat Yourself Beautiful.
