FAI boss John Delaney's girlfriend deletes Twitter account after cyberbully hell

The girlfriend of FAI boss John Delaney has disabled her Twitter account after being attacked by cyberbullies.

Emma English was left utterly distraught by a series of “vile” online posts, some of which called for her to die.

Yesterday, the PR boss had removed her account – which she had used to defend her boyfriend.

She retweeted a number of comments attacking a newspaper reporter who wrote about Delaney being caught on camera singing a Republican ballad.

However, asked to comment about removing her Twitter account, Emma said: “Both John and I really feel it is best not to do any more interviews at this time.”

Earlier this week, Emma told how she has been left unable to sleep by the horrific online bullying she faced.

She said: “There have been nights where I can’t sleep and I’m just sick with the stress over it – it’s cyber-bullying.”

Her partner, John Delaney, attacked the “lunatics” who posted the comments online.
