Rosanna Davison has opened up about the darker side of winning Miss World.

The beauty queen shot to fame when she won the competition in 2003 and admitted that the other contestants were not happy when she nabbed the crown.

“The day after I won, that was one of the things that really hit home – they weren’t there to make friends,” she told Goss.ie.

Speaking at Goss Meets Live, Rosanna revealed that her parents were afraid of letting her sleep in the same room as Miss Canada the night after she won.

“My parents were even a little bit scared of Miss Canada. They got me to sleep in their room the night I won,” she said.

Meanwhile, the model divulged that she was also overwhelmed by how seriously most of the girls took the competition.

“Miss India had a hand book that she used to read every day, she used to flick through it and be like, right, we’re at an orphanage, what’s the protocall?”

“For the first half of it, I was ringing home, balling crying, I’m way out of depth. I can’t compeat with these women but my parents would say, just man up, deal with it.”
