Pippa O’Connor and Brian Ormond have opened up about being in business together and gave an insight into their plans for over the Christmas.
The couple spoke to Goss.ie at The Marie Keating Foundation Christmas lunch at the Shelbourne Hotel, where the couple attended to support the important cause.
Together the pair have built a massive business empire and share three children together, Ollie, 10, Louis, 7, and Billy, 2.
When asked how the pair find working together, Brian revealed: “Quite easy, we spend a lot of time together, we travel all the time together, we work together, we’ve the boys together.”
Pippa then admitted: “Yeah, I suppose it doesn’t seem kind of abnormal to us working together, we’ve done it for over…over seven years now, but it might sound kind of strange to some people that don’t have a working relationship with their partner, but… we’re not like sitting side by side all the time at work.”
“Brian could be doing one aspect of the business and I’m doing something else, we might necessarily see each other all day long…”
Pippa added: “But I find it a comfort, anyway, because it means…that you know, when you’re home in the evening and you’re explaining something that the other person knows…”
To which Brian added, “understands.”
“Yeah, they understand and you’re kind of a shoulder to each other, it’s good that you both get it,” the 37-year-old added.
The couple then shared their Christmas plans, revealing that they plan to enjoy the time with their children and take some time to relax.
The POCO Beauty founder revealed that they plan to “eat and relax” this Christmas, with Brian joking that they plan to “drink and be merry.”
Brian continued: “We’re lucky that the boys are at such a good age, we’ve 10, 7, and 2…”
“So the craic is mighty,” Pippa added.
Brian said: “They’re right in the heart of Christmas, so it’s huge excitement for them and thinking of elf on the shelf and all this… Santa’s still in the house… it is, it’s a great time.”
Pippa then said: “We’re just trying to enjoy it and kind of slow down, we’ve had such a mad year, we’ve had a very busy, hectic year behind the scenes workwise, so we’re looking forward to kind of not doing a whole lot and just chilling out.”
