EXCLUSIVE! Panti Bliss: 'I would love to do a talk show'

First the big screen, now Panti Bliss has admitted she would love to take on the small screen with her own talk show.

Speaking to Goss.ie, the entertainer and activist, aka Rory O’Neill, revealed she’s been approached about other broadcasting opportunities but a talk show is the only project she’s interested in.

“I would definitely at some point love to do a talk show,” she said.

“That’s one of the only TV projects I’m only properly seriously interested in.

“I get asked to do a lot of TV things and most them, I’m lucky I have my live shows and I have the bar so I feel I can wait until exactly the right thing comes along or something I really want to do,” she told Goss.ie.

“But they’re a lot of people trying to make something happen so if the right one comes along, I’ll do it.”

Since taking on the silver screen, the reign of Panti doesn’t look likely to end anytime soon – with the national icon insisting that she loves nothing more then her live shows.

“My ambitions aren’t huge, it’s not like I want to be a Hollywood movie star or anything,” she joked.

“I want to be able to continue doing my live shows, that’s what I really like, that’s my main thing and it has made doing that easier.

“It is easier for me to tour the shows because more people are just interested and essentially that’s enough for me,” she added.

“And then when things comes along that seem like fun or interesting then to me, then I’ll do those.”

The Queen of Ireland is available now on DVD nationwide – just in time for Christmas.
