EXCLUSIVE! Denise McCormack says her body was ‘starting to give up’ at the end of DWTS

Denise McCormack said that her body was ‘starting to give up’ nearing the end of her stint on Dancing With The Stars.

Goss.ie caught up with the Red Rock actress at the 2017 IFTA Film and Drama awards in the Mansion House.

When asked about how she was feeling now that the show was over, Denise said, “Feeling great. I feel very healthy, because I did three months of hardcore exercise.”

She continued, “I miss it, I really do miss it. I miss the people, I miss the buzz, the adrenaline rush.

“But the body couldn’t have done any longer – it was starting to give up.”

The actress starred in A Date for Mad Mary, which claimed the award for best picture on the night at the IFTA’s.

The Irish film beat out other contenders Love & Friendship, The Secret Scripture, The Siege of Jadotville, Tomato Red, and The Young Offenders.
