Social media sensation Damien Broderick has revealed how he narrowly missed out on Love Island fame.
The influencer, who has over 1.2million followers on Instagram and over 1million on TikTok, appeared on the latest episode of our Love Island podcast, Goss Island.
During the episode, Damien recalled auditioning for Love Island back in 2017, but he missed out on appearing on the show alongside the likes of Olivia Attwood and Kem Cetinay.
The 2017 series is known as one of the best seasons of the show, and many of the cast members are still big stars in their own right.
Damien described the audition process as “quite funny”, and revealed he made it to the later stages of the screen tests – but sadly didn’t make it into the villa.
The social media star also shared his “type on paper”, and confessed he has a “really weird thing with a mouth shape”, describing Avril Lavigne as his perfect girl.
Host Alan Cawley also asked Damien to share if he’s single or in a relationship.
He replied: “I get this question asked, and this is no exaggeration, hundreds of times every single day… and I never ever answer it. But I’ll answer it now.”
