DWTS Rosanna Davison reveals she ‘loves being apart of something bigger’

Rosanna Davison has opened up more about her experience on RTÉ’s Dancing With The Stars and revealed she has loved “being apart of something bigger.”

The Irish model and mother-of-three is currently paired up with professional dancer Stephen Vincent.

Last week on Dedicated Dance week, the former Miss World danced to her father’s song, Chris Dem Burgh’s, Lady In Red.

In the Diary section of the Sunday Independent, the 39-year-old discussed her weekly routine as she competes on the hit dance show.

She wrote: “It’s lovely to say ‘Sorry, this is my life now, I can’t think about it until after the show is done’. It’s really nice to be part of a creative process.”

“I think that’s what I really missed for a while, being part of something bigger.”

The star went on to say that the show was been a “life-changing experience” for her.

Speaking about performing her father’s song during last week’s show, Rosanna said: “I’ve heard the song probably hundreds of thousands of times, but it definitely took on a new meaning in rehearsals and I got quite emotional actually, the first time we danced to it in the studio.”

“Because this show has been a really life-changing experience so far.”

She continued: “It sort of brought out a side of me I didn’t know was there, or maybe I’d forgotten existed. I sort of lost myself a little bit in the process of having children, and devoting myself to them.”

“I lost a lot of my self-confidence somewhere along the way. You’re learning about how far you can push yourself. It’s terrifying going out on live TV and dancing.”

“But something takes over, it’s like a muscle memory – your body knows what to do, your head steps out of it.”
