It is not everyday that you get to work with your other half, but Doireann Garrihy and Mark Mehigan make it look so easy.
On Thursday night, the podcaster, comedian, and new writer had his launch party for his book This is Not a Self-Help Book at the Sugar Club in Dublin.
On hand, to simultaneously comfort his nerves and grill him with questions, was his fiancée Doireann Garrihy who was on hosting duties for the festivities.
The lovebirds have been together since 2022 when the Dancing with the Stars host noticed the comedian through his viral videos and met through her cousin who works at 2fm.
Since then, the couple has gone from strength to strength with the new author praising his love as a “good soul” and someone who truly keeps him calm.
Showing her support, Doireann managed to turn the book launch into a family affair by sneaking in their dog Bertie for a quick family photo.
The book has been described as a “hilarious memoir about the freedom and contentment that lies on the other side of addiction.”
Although he is reluctant to label his book as a self-help book, he hopes being vocal about his struggles can help and educate others.
Speaking on The Good Glow podcast series with Georgie Crawford, he described how his “recklessness” caused him to throw away opportunities and burn through his friendships.
He further admitted that his addiction had him hurtling for a nervous breakdown, using payday loans to fund this damaging habit.

Mark has announced that he will also be holding an online Q&A at the end of the month for everyone who buys the book today.
Besides launching books, producing podcasts, and hosting the grand finale of Dancing with the Stars, the pair are full-speed ahead with planning their nuptials.
During a previous interview, Doireann confessed the pair are planning on tying the knot later this year.
