Dermot O’Leary asked to replace Michael Bublé at Brit Awards

The X Factor host isn't the only contender

Dermot O’Leary has reportedly been asked to replace Michael Bublé as the Brit Awards host this year.

The singer pulled out of hosting duties so he could spend time with his son who is battling cancer.

Dermot is apparently thinking about whether he should take the role or not.

“Dermot is exactly what ITV want to host the Brits, a safe pair of hands,” a source told The Sun.

“He has that wealth of experience, especially with live TV.

“He has been at the helm of The X Factor for a decade and has a solid awards background too, thanks to the NTAs.”

However, Dermot isn’t the only contender that is being eyed up by ITV as Big Brother host Emma Willis is also said to be an option.

“[Dermot] is talking to producers but hasn’t made a decision yet. Emma is also an option.
