TV star Dara O’Briain has revealed he didn’t have his first kiss until he was 17 – admitting it was “really awkward”.
The Mock The Week presenter then lost his virginity a few months later he revealed.
Asked his first “sexual experience”, Dara said: “It was very close to the cusp of 18 – I think it may have just been under the wire.
“It was round about that time. Definitely pre-Leaving Cert. I might just be trying to talk it up for the ladies.

“My first kiss was only a few months before that, I was really shy. I was really shy.
“I was really shy, and then – wham! – once the training wheels were off. It was really awkward. I would love to say the first girl’s name, but I won’t.”
But Dara told Ray D’Arcy – who revealed his first kiss was at nine-years-old – that not going to a Gaeltacht was his main problem.
He added: “Because I went to an all Irish school there was no need to go to the Gaeltacht so I didn’t get those formative three weeks in Kerry to snog people.”
