The Cranberries announce very special Dublin gig

The Cranberries have announced a very special Dublin gig this morning.

The rockers will embark upon the capital for a special acoustic gig, with accompaniment from a string quartet, at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre on Thursday, May 18.

This will be The Cranberries first gig in a while, as the band’s lead singer Doloes O’Riordan was most recently collaborating with musicians Andy Rourke and Ole Kortesky under the band name D.A.R.K. The singer has also remained out of the limelight since pleading guilty to an air rage incident that took place on board a flight from New York to Shannon Airport back in 2014.

The gig will come after the band is set to release an unplugged album in April, which will feature some of The Cranberries greatest hits, as well as three new tunes.

Tickets are priced from €49.65, and go on sale this Friday, February 10 at 9am from usual outlets.
