Conor McGregor in talks for MAJOR film role despite ‘p***ing off’ producers

Conor McGregor is in talks for a major Hollywood role, despite previously “p***ing off” producers.

The 28-year-old was previously lined up to star in a movie alongside Vin Diesel, but pulled out from the project last minute after his shock defeat to Nate Diaz last March.

However, the father-to-be is now gearing up for a huge action role, as he’s held a number of meetings with producers in a bid to break into the film industry.

An insider told the Irish Sun, “Conor really wants to start doing movies. He’s doing everything in his power to break into Hollywood.

“There has been a good deal of interest in him already and he thinks the time is right to start branching out.

“There’s been talk of a part in a big action movie and he’s held a number of meetings with producers, so it looks like there’s something in the pipeline. Conor would be a natural fit for a big Hollywood blockbuster,” they added.

The Crumlin native was supposed to feature in Vin Diesel’s xXx: Return of Xander Cage, and the film’s director DJ Caurso recently opened up about Conor quitting the project at the last minute, and being replaced by UFC star Michael Bisping.

“I wasn’t disappointed by it, I was p****d because Conor had said ‘Yes’ he was gonna do the movie. He got his ass kicked by Nate Diaz and then after that he sort of backed out…”

“We had liked Michael from the outset, so we reached back out to him and got him. I think it all works out for great reasons — and then to have Michael become the world champion while you’re getting to know him.”

Meanwhile, the Dubliner is set to appear in the next series of HBO’s Game Of Thrones.
