Conor McGregor smashes ANOTHER world record

Conor McGregor has smashed another world record after his UFC 202 match with Nate Diaz.

The MMA fighter won his match against the California native in August this year – another of his many wins over the last year.

The Crumlin native has beaten his very own pay-per-view record with 1.65 million buys.

The previous record for most pay-per-view orders was set at UFC 196 which Conor also headlined.

According to reports, the new record is about 50,000 more than the tattooed fighter’s previous record bringing in €86 million.

Sources claim that the DirectTV numbers were the highest in the promotion’s history.

The numbers were also confirmed by UFC boss Dana White after the match was trending to be the biggest show ever.

The 28-year-old’s match against Nate sold 12,567 tickets with 14,060 in the building.

Ticket sales alone made $7,629,010 which is roughly €6.7 million.

Both Conor and Nate received two of the three largest guaranteed fight fees in UFC history – Nate earning $2 million (€1.8 million) and Conor even more with $3 million (€2.7 million) before their $50,000 fighting bonus and PPV percentages were added.

The UFC stars August fight earned them sixth place in the Top PPV matches of all time beating two of Mike Tyson’s fights.
