Conor McGregor brought in over half of UFC pay-per-view earnings

The Crumlin native's fights were money makers in 2016

Conor McGregor’s fights have reportedly brought in over half of UFC’s pay-per-view earnings in 2016.

The MMA star won two out of his three fights in the league this year, his only lose at UFC 196 to Nate Diaz.

However, he reclaimed his glory when he faced off with the American again at UFC 202 and made history when he became the first champion to hold two titles simultaneously.

Conor has often talked about the amount of money he brings in to the UFC at press conferences, and recent reports show that he isn’t lying.

Not only was the Crumlin native’s rematch against Nate the highest grossing PPV event in the history of MMA but he is also responsible of 50.3% of 2016’s PPV buys, according to MMA News.

The 28-year-old brought in 4,217,000 PPV buys for his appearances at UFC 196, UFC 202 and UFC 205.

However, it looks like Conor might not be able to bring in as many buys in 2017 as he has no fights scheduled yet and is preparing to become a father.
