Actor Cillian Murphy has admitted he doesn’t like being in the spotlight.
The Cork actor, who has starred in movies such as Inception and Batman Begins, said that he doesn’t like red carpet events.
“I guess I’m not very good at being a ‘personality’ and I’m not very comfortable doing the red carpet thing or the chat show scenario.”
“I wish I was, because it would make life easier for me,” he told the Sunday World.

Cillian is currently starring in Enda Walsh’s play Ballyturk. The actor said he prefers the stage.
“When you go into film, you’re way down the food chain in terms of maintaining that level of exchange.”
“So theatre brings that exchange again, and allows for the potential of magic to happen between audience and performer,” he said.
