TV star Chris O’Dowd has admitted he once knocked a woman out when his party trick went wrong.
The 6ft 4in actor used to swing his legs over friends’ heads while a student at UCD – until he was slightly too low.
He explained: “I was two inches too low and I got her right on the temple, clean out she was.

“It was one of those things where you can apologise all you want but the relationship’s never the same.”
Meanwhile, the Roscommon favourite has just released a new Moone Boy book with Nick Vincent Murphy.
It comes before the Sky 1 series chronologically, and centres around on the imaginary friend of schoolboy Martin Moone.

And Chris told Newstalk that he also had an imaginary friend as a child.
He said: “What I had growing up was a brick that I would sometimes go through the events of the day with.
“Like Martin, I had three older sisters and they didn’t seem concerned about my events, so I had this brick and I would just tell it what was going on. He was called Rick.”
