Brian O’Driscoll and Amy Huberman have received the green light to revamp their new €1.8m home in south Dublin.

The pair, who currently reside in Goatstown, have purchased a Victorian house on Palmerston Road in Rathmines, which was placed on the market for nearly €2 million.

However, the couple’s move was halted as planning permission on the house had expired.

According to Independent.ie, Brian and Amy, who are parents to two kids Sadie and Billy, asked Dublin City Council to extend planning permission in hopes to build their dream home – and now they’ve finally received the go-ahead.

The lavish home was previously divided into three flats, however, the couple want to make it one large family home once again as they hope to extend it from 280 square metres to 363 square metres.

Their plans include a whopping six bedrooms, open-plan kitchen, dining room, living room area with large windows, and a large family room and office.

The pair also plan to reinstate the stairs from the ground to upper ground level, and replace the modern PVC windows and repoint the period red brick blocks.
