Bressie has revealed that his girlfriend Roz Purcell helped him to get through his anxiety.
The Voice of Ireland coach told his other half about his struggles with mental health when they first started dating and believes that the “honesty” they share with each other helped him to conquer his demons.
“I skated through life getting on really well with people but not telling them what I was going through,” he said.
Honesty: Bressie told Roz about his struggles with anxiety at the beginning of their relationship
“I wasn’t with Roz very long when I sat her down and I said it to her. She said the right thing, she said: ‘Let’s take it a day at a time’,” he told The Anton Savage Show on Today FM.
“I think that honesty really helped.”
It comes after Roz recently revealed that she’s “so proud” of Bressie for writing his debut book Me And My Mate Jeffrey.
