Bono had to be rescued by armed officers after being caught up in the Bastille Day terror in Nice.
The U2 frontman was relaxing on the terrace of La Petite Maison restaurant near the seafront when Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel drove a lorry into the crowd celebrating the national holiday on July 14, killing 84 and wounding countless others.
Restaurant owner Anne-Laure Rubi told La Parisienne magazine that they pulled down the shutters and instructed everyone inside to remain calm.

A source said: “It took around half an hour for the police to get us out. Like everybody else, Bono had to put his hands on his head, and was told to remain calm.
“The police were clearly very worried that terrorists might still be at large, and everybody was under suspicion.”
The Dubliner owns a home nearby in Eze and had been out for dinner with friends.
