Barry Keoghan and Paul Mescal rumoured to play iconic musicians in upcoming biopics

Barry Keoghan and Paul Mescal are rumoured to play iconic members of The Beatles in upcoming biopics by filmmaker Sam Mendes.

The Oscar winner is set to direct four separate films about each member of the world’s most famous band, with plans to release them all in 2027.

The movies are set to be interconnected stories, one from each band member’s point of view.

According to film industry specialist Jeff Sneider, our very own Paul Mescal is being lined up to play Paul McCartney, while Barry Keoghan will take on the role of Ringo Starr.

Meanwhile, Harris Dickinson has reportedly been cast as John Lennon, with Charlie Rowe set to portray George Harrison.

Earlier this year, Sam Mendes confirmed he would helm all four parts of the “Beatles Cinematic Universe.”

The filmmaker said he was “honoured to be telling the story of the greatest rock band of all time.”
