Arthur Gourounlian has revealed that his and Brian Dowling’s surrogate has moved in with them ahead of the arrival of their second child.
Brian and Arthur, who tied the knot back in 2015, welcomed their daughter Blake Maria Rose on September 1, 2022.
The Six O’Clock Show presenter’s sister Aoife acted as their surrogate.
Last week, the pair announced that they are expecting their second child together – due this summer.
Speaking on the RTÉ Guide podcast, the Dancing With The Stars judge said: “Yeah. Everybody knows. Aoife has been absolutely incredible. From day one she knew we wanted siblings for Blake so yeah it’s Aoife.”
“When she came to us and said I really want to do it and help again… we were like ‘are you serious? Are you sure?’ And she said yes. It’s been absolutely amazing and she has been just incredible. She moved in with us and has a room with us.”
Arthur went on to admit that Blake is still too young to fully understand that she will be a big sister, revealing that their second child is due in June.
He admitted: “When we announced she (Blake) was having her breakfast, blase to what was happening in the world. It was Saturday morning and Blake was just having a banana and strawberry, no care in the world so she is too young to understand.”
“Everyone is saying two under two, double trouble now I’m kind of panicked, but I think it is okay and Blake is understanding lots of things.”
“So now the new thing is when she sees babies she says ‘shhh’ kind of like getting ready for it. She’s (Aoife) 23 weeks. Due in June, July.”
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Brian announced the exciting news.
He wrote alongside images of their daughter, Blake: “Our family is going to get bigger. We @gourounlian are so excited about the arrival of Baby Dowling Gourounlian Number 2 this Summer.”
“We have already been so blessed with Blake we can’t believe how lucky we are as parents to welcome another baby to our family. Blake is going to be the BEST BIG SISTER EVER 💚”

Arthur has since told EVOKE: “We are over the moon. We are so blessed and so looking forward to the new chapter and new adventures.”
A host of the star’s friends and family took to the comments to congratulate the couple.
