Alicia Vikander has denied that she and Michael Fassbender have gone their separate ways, saying that the rumours are hurtful.
The Swedish actress and the German-Irish actor have had a notoriously private relationship since they met on set of The Light Between Oceans in 2014, and due to this there has been months of speculation on the status of their relationship.
However, confirming to US Vogue in their latest cover story, Alicia insisted that they are in fact still together.

“I always believed there must be some truth to the stuff you read… But I learned,” she told the magazine.
Alicia’s star is on the rise as she featured in four different films this year, and also received two Golden Globe nominations for Ex Machina and The Danish Girl, and also a SAG nomination for the latter.
Alicia features on the cover of Vogue’s January 2016 issue, and mentions in the interview that she enjoys that her level of fame hasn’t reached ridiculous levels.

“I feel, for now, that I’m still able to see this industry from both sides. Sometimes I wonder whether that’s going to change and suddenly I’m going to just…I don’t know, go to the other side.
“If there is another side. I still have that fantasy, or maybe fear, about celebrity,” she added.
