Adam King steals the hearts of the nation by making his presenting debut on The Late Late Show

Adam King stole the hearts of the nation once again on Friday night, by making his presenting debut on The Late Late Show.

The Cork native, who has brittle bone disease, has become somewhat of a celebrity since he appeared on the Toy Show last year.

On Friday night, the seven-year-old had his dream of hosting The Late Late Show come true when he took over Ryan Tubridy’s seat for a part of the show.

Swapping roles with Ryan, Adam asked him some Toy Show related questions – and even quizzed him about this year’s theme.

Refusing to give anything away, Ryan replied: “This is a pokerface, even you Adam with your gorgeous charisma and kind heart won’t eke that answer from my soul.”

“It is a secret and I won’t reveal it until the days before the Toy Show. I can’t help you with this question or query I’m afraid.”

Towards the end of their chat, Adam teased: “Now that I’ve taken over your job, have you thought of a new career?”

Ryan laughed: “I think because I talk so much nonsense, maybe law or politics!”

“But I’ll have to have a good think about it after your interview because you are so good and tailor made for this job.”

After the show aired, viewers took to Twitter to praise Adam, who was branded a “national treasure”.
