He’s already top of his game in the acting world, and now Eoin Macken has landed a nomination at this year’s Irish Book Awards.
The Dublin actor, best known for his role in BBC drama Merlin, has been nominated in the Best Newcomer category.
The nomination comes just weeks after his debut novel Kingdom of Scars was released in Ireland.
Meanwhile TV presenter Graham Norton has been nominated in the Best Nonfiction category.

His memoir The Life and Loves of a He Devil is up against Lovin Dublin creator Niall Haribson, for his book Get Sh*t Done
And Cecelia Ahern also bagged herself a nomination for Most Popular Fiction.
Cecelia’s latest novel The Year I Met You is up against Cathy Kelly’s recent book It Started with Paris, while Ross O’Carroll-Kelly got a nomination for Keeping Up with the Kalashnikovs.
