Voice of Ireland presenter Eoghan McDermott has weighed in on the chances Donald Trump could become the next US President.
The Dubliner insisted putting the possible presidential candidate in the oval office would be “history repeating itself” while referring to the billionaire businessman as a “bully, a proud racist” and “a grotesque misogynist”.
“They all started out the same way you know. Hitler, Stalin — all the most evil dictators,” he said.

“Afterwards the world looked back and realised the signs were there all along but nobody shouted stop.
“But surely we’ve learned enough to know that putting Donald Trump into the Oval Office would be history repeating itself,” he wrote in his The Sun column.
“He’s a bully, a proud racist, a grotesque misogynist, a deluded despot in the making.
“Back when he was just a businessman, it was easy to dismiss his offensive opinions as a nutter’s ramblings,” he added.

The broadcaster admitted that the US public need to take a step back and see there’s a “powercrazed pyscho” wanting to take their highest office.
“Now, with the US presidency in his grasp, even the most deluded Republican voter needs to wake up and see him for what he really is —a psychopath,” he explained.
“I’m not even going to dwell on his grandiose claim that he alone can solve Islamic extremism.
“Under the ridiculous hair and scalded turnip face, there’s a powercrazed psycho waiting to unleash havoc,” he said.
