The Dublin native explained that they first thought the blaze was part of the New Year’s celebrations until the city soon became covered in a thick cloud of smoke.

“At first people thought it was part of the New Year celebrations until the blaze became so huge that an eerie darkness surrounded the other buildings near the flames,” she wrote in her Irish Daily Star column.

“I was shocked to find out it was The Address Hotel that was on fire. Rob and I got so many texts asking us if we were okay or near the fire. Miraculously nobody died.”
